OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE Rentalcars.com is an online car rental booking service that arranges third party car rentals from leading car rental companies around the world. I recently booked a car through Rentalcars.com and their booking process was simple and efficient with terms of the rental booking clearly outlined on my booking confirmation and Rental Voucher . When I arrived at the Orlando airport car rental company reception desk, I was informed that a Supplementary Liability Insurance charge and Insurance Handling fee would be added to the amount specified on the Rentalcars.com Rental Voucher. This additional insurance charge and fee were neither mentioned or disclosed during the booking process, nor were they included on the Rental Voucher. In spite of my strong objection to these additional and undisclosed insurance charge and fee, the Orlando airport car rental company insisted that both were mandatory and had to be paid. Other than cancelling the booking, I had very little choice but to reluctantly pay the amount charged. Upon my return home, I immediately contacted the Rentalcars.com Customer Service department to register a complaint against this particular car rental company’s unethical business practices and to intercede on my behalf in obtaining a full refund for these additional and undisclosed insurance charge and fee. My complaint was received in a professional and most courteous manner and after completing their investigation, a full refund was obtained along with an explanation that the supplementary insurance charge and insurance handling fee that were sold by the car rental company as mandatory, were in fact optional. I can say that the Rentalcars.com customer service department provided outstanding customer service and greatly exceeded my initial expectations. It is evident that Rentalcars.com values their customers and that their customer service department walks the talk and provides more than lip service to their clients. Well done Rentals.com and I would not hesitate to recommend Rentals.com online car rental booking service to family and friends. Ottawa, Canada
Ok, we're really, really trying not to be heartless here, but know this: When someone calls to cancel a rental, there's an 80% chance that they use the death-in-the-family excuse with us. (yes, we've measured.) We've heard it so much, that A) we can't believe that so many people would stoop so low, and B) We don't believe it anymore. We're very sorry if you actually have a death in the family, because there are a lot of people out there who cry wolf and have ruined it for you and made us cold, heartless automatons.
CANCELLATIONS: Weddings: A deposit of $220.00 per booking will be incurred on all bookings. Bookings cancelled within 3 months prior to the wedding will be charged the full amount of the booking unless extraordinary circumstances can be shown. Vehicles cancelled before this will receive no refund of deposit. General Hire: A deposit of $100.00 per booking will be incurred on all bookings; cancellations within 28 days prior to the booking will be charged the full amount of the booking, Vehicles cancelled before this will receive no refund of deposit.

However, there are many restrictions set up by insurance companies and the likes that we have to follow. They simply do not care how much money you have in your pocket today or what some Black Listed 3rd party brokerage website is doing.

Unfortunately, we've had bad experiences in the past with underage drivers getting their hands on our exotics after their relative rented the vehicle to 'drive them' to prom. So we don't do any prom rentals, full stop. However, if you're a parent and want to arrange to rent one of our luxury sedans to be 'chauffeur' for the night, we're happy to accommodate - just make sure that YOU make the call!
Due to the extremely high cost of the vehicles we offer, it is our policy to take a refundable security deposit for all our rentals and Dream Car Tour participants. The deposits range from $2,500 - $15,000 depending on the vehicle and level of insurance you carry. Rest assured, this is refunded in full once the vehicle has been returned to us and thoroughly inspected. This usually takes 3-5 business days after the end of your rental. If there are any additional mileage charges or minor damages, they are billed from your deposit and the balance is refunded back onto your credit card.
